One For the Road
On June 17, 2006, Dupree released their new CD, "One for the Road," at the Big "E"aze in Downtown Amherst, Ohio. CD's have been selling like hotcakes at all the local shows! The band will also hold a second CD release party on August 25th at Savannah Bar & Restaurant on Detroit Road in Westlake, Ohio. The CD features some classic blues cuts, including "Let the Good Times Roll" and Nate's rendition of "Love Her With a Feeling," and also some rare finds like Jen's version of Janis Joplin's "Half Moon" and Dave's live performance of ZZ Top's "Fool For Your Stockings" (recorded at Mike's Barn). Featured guests on the CD include Mark Leach (organ) of the Buddy Miles Express, Chris Hanna (keys) of the Stokes Brothers and Evergreen, Daniel Gale (violin) formerly of the Black River Bluegrass Band, Randy Wischhusen (congas) of Zydeco Jones and Poultry in Motion, Trini Mendiola (bass) formerly of E.T. King's Determination band and currently playing with Dupree (taking the place of Dave Focht), Kristine Jackson (trumpet) of the Kristine Jackson Band and Basically Blue, Jmy T (vocals) of Jmy T & Co. Rhythm and Blues Review, and former members of Dupree: Rob Warth (drums) of E.T. King & Determination, Dave Focht (bass, guitar, vocals), and Scott Emerson (bass) of Wiseass and Run Avril Run.
